Reported Haunting
The Ye Olde George Inn is regarded as one of Dorset's oldest haunted inns. Guests and staff have reported apparitions, phantom footsteps, mysterious voices, and objects moving without explanation. Several spirits are said to be associated with different rooms throughout the historic building.
During renovations at the oldest pub in the town, workers found the skeleton and clothing of a woman. Ever since, staff and diners alike have reported a grey lady haunting the main bar area and upper floor of the old public house.
